MDC Fisheries
MDC Fisheries Incorporated was incorporated in November 2004 to become a fish harvesting company. Over the winter of 2005 was able to access funding from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, specifically accessing the Allocation Transfer Program under the Aboriginal Fishing Strategy.
MDC Fisheries Incorporated was able to leverage these monies to acquire its first license, in the spring of 2005. MDC Fisheries Incorporated have since acquired a total of six crab quotas and two shrimp quotas. MDC Fisheries Incorporated is planning to continue to expand in the fishing industry.

MDC Fisheries Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Metis Development Corporation, is soliciting proposals from fishers interested in harvesting a special crab quota.
