MDC Fisheries Incorporated was incorporated in November 2004 to become a fish harvesting company. Over the winter of 2005 was able to access funding from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, specifically accessing the Allocation Transfer Program under the Aboriginal Fishing Strategy.

MDC Fisheries Incorporated was able to leverage these monies to acquire its first license, in the spring of 2007 MDC Fisheries Incorporated acquired its second license and is planning to expand in the fishing industry.

MDC Fisheries Incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Metis Development Corporation is soliciting proposals from the Metis Fishers in all categories who are interested in selling / retiring individual fishing licences and vessel registration eligibility. Proposals may include a wide range of partnership structures such as lease arrangements, etcetera.

QUALIFICATIONS: Proposals should include fishers name and contact information, the individual FIN number, summary of licence quotas and conditions, disclosure of any legal agreements or liens, asking price and or any additional conditions.
